
Denait Haile
Denait Haile is the Project Manager for the Strengthening Pandemic Vaccine Preparedness in Africa (SPAVPA) initiative at Western University’s Global Health & Innovation Lab. She leads project coordination across multiple country teams, overseeing planning, implementation workflows, stakeholder engagement, and milestone tracking to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of research outputs. Dena holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Western University, with a specialization in neurophysiology and health research. She also completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a double major in Health Sciences and French Studies, equipping her with interdisciplinary and cross-cultural communication expertise that supports SPAVPA’s international partnerships. In her role, she works closely with principal investigators, local country leads, and knowledge users to manage ethics processes, data collection timelines, reporting structures, and collaborative activities across participating countries. Her strengths include strategic coordination, systems organization, and stakeholder engagement in complex, multi-partner research environments. In addition to SPAVPA, Dena serves as Program Coordinator for Health Information Science at Western University, where she supports academic programming, student engagement, and faculty coordination. She is actively involved in mentorship and community leadership initiatives and is committed to advancing equitable, collaborative approaches to strengthening health systems.
