Amirah Mobarak

Research Assistant

Amirah is currently completing her MSc in the Health Promotion stream of the Health and Rehabilitation Sciences program at Western University. She also completed her undergraduate degree at Western in the fields of Psychology and Health Sciences, with a certificate in Writing Studies. Amirah’s research interests include mental health and well-being, cross-cultural psychology, global health education, and exploring equitable approaches to health care among equity-deserving populations. She is passionate about sharing the experiences of individuals and communities who are often underrepresented, and hopes to pursue a career in both academia and public health. Currently, Amirah is exploring the needs and priorities of youth mental health services in the Middle East and North Africa region, and Canada. Apart from her academic interests, Amirah enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
