Asua Okolie

Research Assistant
AsuaAsua Okolie is a Research Assistant at the Global Health and Innovation Lab (GHIL). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science with a minor in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences from the University of Guelph and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Health and Rehabilitation Science at Western University. At GHIL, Asua has contributed to knowledge translation projects focused on vaccine implementation and conducted a scoping review on vitamin A supplementation in Africa. Her master’s thesis examines equitable vaccine distribution strategies, providing a comparative analysis of Canada and Nigeria by exploring the key determinants that influence equity in vaccine deployment. Through her research, Asua aims to inform policies and practices that promote health equity in both local and global contexts.
