Zeyda Noriega Ponce

Research Assistant

Zeyda Noriega Ponce is a Research Volunteer in the Global Health and Innovation Lab. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology and Medical Sciences from Western University. Within the lab, she has contributed to multiple projects, gaining experience in qualitative research, scoping reviews, and systematic reviews. Her work has focused on sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections among Black populations in Ontario, upstream factors impacting COVID-19 vaccination rates across Africa, vitamin A supplementation in Africa, and youth mental health in the MENA region. In addition to her research, Zeyda volunteers with the Board of Directors of the Regional HIV and AIDS Connection of London. She is dedicated to supporting underserved populations, addressing health disparities, and advancing global health.
